PAMELA BLANC is a Founding Member of the Board of Directors of the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles (A.T.I.-L.A), an AmSAT approved teacher training school located in Santa Monica, California established in 1987. She served as Executive Director/Senior Faculty member from 1989-1998. Prior to the founding of ATI-LA, Pamela assisted Mr Frank Ottiwell at The Alexander Training Institute of San Francisco from 1983-1986. The American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) is the professional organization in the United States that oversees standards of teacher training in the Alexander Technique ensuring that teachers have completed a three-year training program. This consists of a minimum of sixteen hundred hours of training. AmSAT members then augment their professional development by fulfilling continuing education requirements. Further, they agree to abide by the AmSAT code of professional conduct, and are affiliated with teachers all over the world who share these standards of training and professionalism.
