Pamela Blanc is a long-time member of the OperaWorks’ faculty teaching the Alexander Technique during the Summer 2 week and 4 week programs and giving Master Classes throughout the year.

OperaWorks singers are now performing in opera houses throughout the world. While OperaWorks' main focus is educational, performances are a vital part of OperaWorks' programs, and include recitals, showcase concerts, improvised operas and full productions. Audiences can hear outstanding singers in a variety of exciting productions designed to offer an alternative to traditional opera productions.

Opera today demands that singers act as well as sing. Directors ask for a more realistic acting style, supertitles enable audiences to understand what the characters are saying, and, with the popularity of television, video and movies, our society has become visually oriented. Audiences new to opera expect the same kind of visual stimulation from the operatic stage that they get from other theatrical genres. OperaWorks was founded to address these challenges. In a nurturing, process-oriented environment, singer-actors, coaches, directors and teachers discover how to synthesize the learning process.

The distinguished faculty, headed by Ms. Baltz, consists of outstanding professionals who have studied and worked in their fields to gain a sound foundation in the operatic traditions, but who are also willing to lay aside those traditions to seek out new ways of approaching the performing craft and make opera come alive for audiences today.
